As to the person that left the above comment three years ago...this person has absolutely no understand of the condition, and since this NT...if indeed this person really is one...has no place on placing this comment on this page, and therefore has already shown their biases and prejudice to the auties of this world...so, please Anonymous...your comments have no place in this forum...you are already an offensive person...and an insult to the humanity...so start working on your own people skills before passing judgment on others....

The whole "autistic movement" thing is a sad lie. Why?

Well, it's because persons with neurological disorders can actually ameliorate their condition by rewiring their brains if they'd just be willing to give it a chance. That's right--autism and Asperger's syndrome are neurological disorders, and they are afflictions, NOT part of a person's being. That theory is widely accepted in the medical field, which by the way, is reliable because it is based on scientific fact.

These so-called "autistics" should stop running away from the problem and do something about their condition, NOT embrace it as some sort of lifestyle.

Fortunately, Asperger's syndrome is not too terribly bad. But people with it may need to work on their social skills so that they can lead better lives.

And why do they call themselves "aspies?" "Aspie" sounds like an offensive term. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future people started to use it as an insult.
