Just a quick update. I changed over the template to K2 and will be redesigning the site over the next couple of weeks before I head out to Peru. Since I’ll be in the jungle on and off over the next 6 months, and the good Doctor Quickbeam is in Nepal, posting will probably slow to a crawl. Yes, this summer Billy and the Good Doctor are going to be traipsing through the upper Amazon as part of an Anthropological research team studying TB. Attention Nerds:

We are looking for more staff members at Nerdshit! If you’re interested in the stories we usually post, and are a human info filter, then we’d love you to post exciting, intellectual and bizarre stories for us. Alternatively we are looking for editorial writers! If you happen to be a particularly articulate individual with an informed and interesting point of view on such things as politics, philosophy, technology, consciousness, the sciences, and other nerdshit, then we would love to have you aboard.

All posters and writers will be paid in the glory that accompanies working on cool websites ^_ (at least until we can stop running the site at a deficit). If you are interested just contact us via the links on the ‘about’ page.

As you can see, nerdshit has assumed a new incarnation using the wordpress software. It’s been about two years now and nerdshit.com is still truckin’ on. The new nerdshit is sleeker and faster, easier to read and you can now register to leave comments, which will hopefully help to bring the nerdshit family together. We will continue to make changes and tweaks to the new nerdshit for some time, so bear with us. We’re currently bumping up against our bandwidth limit, and we can’t afford to boost it up at this point in time.

Due to this we’ll cut back or stop posting pictures on the front page.

We’ll also be looking for alternative designs which are lighter. So watch out for changes on nerdshit.

Right now, your faithful administrator is stranded in Peru with no money to leave. I don’t like asking for help, but as it stands it’s my only way out of here. I need to raise $150 to get my plane ticket so I can head back to the states. As it stands, my bank account is severely overdrafted, my parents have no funds, and no one I know has much money either.
